Senior Systems Engineer – Basin Pipelines

Cloudflare | Senior Systems Engineers – Basin (Pipelines, SQL, Catalog) | Austin, TX / Seattle, WA / London, UK | ONSITE | Full-time | $185k–$254k + equity (US range, varies by location) Last week we announced the General Availability of Basin (https://blog.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-basin/), a serverless data platform built on Apache Iceberg and R2. It has three parts: Pipelines (streaming ingestion and SQL transforms), Catalog (a managed Iceberg REST catalog with table maintenance) and SQL (a distributed query engine). We also launched K2 (https://blog.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-k2-streams/), a durable event stream built on R2 that started out as the ingestion buffer behind Pipelines. We're hiring for two roles: Basin Pipelines: work on the streaming engine (built on Arroyo) and K2.
