Senior Backend Engineer

Confidential (established Saudi engineering & industrial services group, building a new in-house AI unit) | Senior AI/ML Engineer, Senior Backend Engineer | Khobar, Saudi Arabia | ONSITE, full-time | Relocation + visa provided | Saudi nationals preferred We're founding an in-house AI unit and hiring its first two engineers. You'd work directly with the unit's head and shape how it's built from day one. Software work: LLMs, data, APIs and the systems around them. Senior AI/ML Engineer: LLM assistants and agents over real company data, Arabic and Saudi-dialect language work, a proper evaluation practice, and open-weight models on our own hardware. The unit publishes research, with the opportunity to co-author. Senior Backend Engineer: the services and integrations connecting AI to enterprise systems and operational data, on a modern serverless stack. Reliability, security and clean data are the job.
